The group operates on a self-help basis, with members researching topics, sharing knowledge, and discussing gardening challenges and solutions. We also hold occasional "troubleshooting" sessions. Throughout the year, guest speakers are invited to meetings, and we typically organize two to three outings to horticultural sites. 

We are affiliated to the RHS which entitles us to use their advisory service, but for most problems there is someone in the group who can provide the answer.
