This spring, we hope that members will want to visit the delightful Herefordshire countryside. It is an area of outstanding natural beauty which is rarely visited because it is not on any major route.
So we are offering members the opportunity to join us to travel in comfort by coach directly to Hereford Cathedral. The trip will include a guided tour of the Cathedral (60 - 90 minutes) and an exploration of the Chained Library and Mappa Mundi. Weather permitting, we may also be able to visit the Cathedral Garden.
After you have chosen suitable refreshments, we are free to explore the town and the river Wye, including the quaint cobbled streets and maybe a museum, we will reboard the coach for a trip to Symonds Yat to view the scenery before returning to Newbury. Please note there is no comfort stop planned on the way to Hereford.
