Join us on a trip to Wells which offers a charming day out full of rich heritage and tradition.
The visit includes a guided tour of Wells Cathedral together with entrance to The Bishop’s Palace and Gardens (a guided tour of the Palace is also available should you so wish).
There is plenty to see in Wells: Vicars Close, thought to be the only complete medieval street left in England, the Historic Gateway, the Wells and Mendip Museum (all within easy walking distance), and for something rather different – the Hospital Cemetery! As our visit takes place on market day we will also have the chance to spend money in the award-winning market.

There are plenty of places for lunch or, should you prefer to take a packed lunch, there are picnic tables in the gardens of the Bishop’s Palace alongside the cafeteria (which boasts the best views in Wells!)
Depart from Newbury Rugby Club at 9:00am, The Wharf at 9:15am, with an estimated return time of 6:30pm
Trip costs are £32:00 per person plus £4:00 per car if parking at Newbury Rugby Club
